Currently, Joe Strub is a self-employed,
independent information technology (IT) consultant with an impressive portfolio of
hardware and software experiences.
As Project and Regional Account
Manager at Systems & Computer Technology (SCT), Mr. Strub
has successfully implemented multi-faceted enterprise
resource planning (ERP) and
supply chain management (SCM) software. He has taken over 15 manufacturing clients
into a live, production environment in the past four years.
As you probably are aware, ERP and SCM software have some of
the most complex data integration, technology interfacing,
and cross-departmental issues in the industry. Accordingly,
this experience demonstrates that Mr. Strub is comfortable
in managing multi-dimensional projects with budgets in
excess of $1 million.
As the IT Director of
Distribution Division of Keystone Foods, Mr. Strub
supported four 24x7, geographically dispersed distribution
centers which serviced over 1,300 restaurants in the
Northeast and Midwest regions. His specific and extensive
responsibilities included support for client/server
applications. They included order processing, warehouse
management, order fulfillment and picking, and distribution,
network topology, voice and data communications, and the
desktop environment.
While at QVC Network as Director
of Systems, Mr. Strub managed all of the systems activities
after an order was taken. These activities included warehouse management,
fulfillment, and distribution. Specifically, these systems
included inventory control and management, order sourcing,
picking, inventory receipt and put away, barcode sortation,
billing, accounts receivable, and financial reporting and
control functions.
Finally as Manager of Corporate
Financial Systems at Sun Company, which at the time was the
11th largest corporation in the United States,
Mr. Strub successfully: (1) developed and implemented
systems that were used by all of the 23 operating
subsidiaries, both nationally and internationally;
(2) managed the corporate suite of financial applications;
and (3) served as an internal consultant on information
technology and management projects.
After obtaining his master's
degree from the University of Pennsylvania and honorably
completing his military obligation as an Airborne Ranger in
the 82nd Airborne Division, Mr. Strub started his IT career
as a consultant and manager with Price Waterhouse.
Mr. Strub has written and
published over 30 articles for TechnologyEvaluation.com
